This past Sunday I took the boys at the orphanage to the beach (along with Caleb). The boys don't get a chance to get out much, so I wanted to give them a change in scenery. Two other staff members drove and helped me coordinate the trip.
It was a beautiful day and the waves were great. We swam, played soccer in the sand, and ate sandwiches. Then, things turned frightening. As I returned with a few of the boys from climbing on the rocks, one of our staff members was hit hard by a wave and was being taken away for medical treatment. We gathered to pray, and it was touching to see the hearts of the boys share so much concern as we prayed. God answered our prayers and his health returned after a few hours and we made it home safely. Praise God for the time we had and the safety despite the scare.
